Common Health Entry Document (CHED)

The Common Health Entry Document (CHED) is a mandatory document for importing certain products of animal origin into Ireland and other EU member states. It provides detailed information about the consignment, its origin, destination, and veterinary certification. The CHED ensures that imported products meet EU health and safety standards and helps prevent the spread of animal diseases. Importers must present the CHED at the point of entry in Ireland, and it must accompany the consignment throughout its journey, remaining available for inspection by the relevant authorities at all times.
